7th day of the new year! how is your new year so far? mine was okie, with going back to sch and the dread of having to run the 3.2km mass run next monday. yesterday was JPM, Pastor Kenny was sharing that it was important to cultivate a thankful heart, a heart that is full of gratitude that it always praise and give Him thanks.
these are the things that i want to give thanks to Him in 2005:1. close christians friends in sch- ppl like Cheuk and Vanessa. it really makes a lot of difference to have close christians friends who keep on encouraging you and strengthening your faith in God, who remind you not to complain or gossip, who you can talk with about God in sch.
2. the chance to work in camp com- truely a blessing to work with those guys, having fun together. not only that, i have learned to think more about the things i planned. i have seen God work in this camp. through this camp, it has been a humbling experience and a time where i have been touched by God
3. for literature!- i know its one of my worst subject but there are things to give thanks here! Mr. Yeo sometimes quote verses from the Bible during lectures, reminding me the wisdom of the Bible. studying the Gothic and about feminism has caused me to open my eyes and see how lost and empty people is without Jesus in their lives. some poems are christian ones and it reminded me of the promises of God. the 3 that Mr Sas give me for my first essay, is truely a humbling experience, reminding me that i'm not that great and that i have to really rely on Him for strength and wisdom.
4. my brothers and sisters in Christ- for their encouragement, their affirmations and their prayers!
Thought of the day
: Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. [Psalms100: 4-5]
