"Easy To Forget" by Pong Nan Lam Yi Bong
Disclaimer's Note: This song is actually in Cantonese. I merely translated the lyrics into English with the help of babelfish.altavista.com although I wouldn't recommend it.

I mistook Horse Leo as Mickey.
I have lost almost twenty handphones.
My memory loss
Is so serious that I forgot about it.
Dropped a memo,
Cannot recall it as usual.
Tomorrow supposed to deliver letter.
Tomorrow then discovered,
Today's movie ticket.

Who was once in my room
Enjoying those happy times?
I only see
The empty double bed.
Other people and matters have all been forgotten.
Those who have store everything in their memory,
May have many disappointments.
Maybe heaven is kind to them,
Letting them forget

The car I parked somewhere,
Ask me ten seconds later, I no londer remember.
Also many times,
Left my keys in my house.
Facing you with words to say,
The moment I want to start,
I realised that I have forgotten the intention.
Silence is more beautiful.
Not opening mouth does not mean losing.

Who was once in my room
Enjoying those happy times?
I only see
The empty double bed.
Other people and matters have all been forgotten.
Those who have store everything in their memory,
May only look back sometimes.
Maybe heaven is kind to them,
Letting those feelings and memories be forgotten.

Never mind,
Those memories remembered or forgotten,
No one look backs at them anymore.
Not scared of forgetting those past events,
Continue to make friends with people.

Who was once in my room
Enjoying those happy times?
I only see
The empty double bed.
No need to discuss the coming years.
That night, that manner is unforgettable,
Do not treat it as a haven.
Clinging on to yesterday will never bring peace.
Maybe heaven is kind to them,
Letting them forget.

This is one of my favourite song from my hubby (haha, yah right Clesias! *rolls eyes*). Please do not mind the funny translation, I have already tried my very best to make it sound as arty farty as the song really sounds.

Those parts that are in yellow means something to me because I feel the same way as the persona in the song. The happy times always pass in a rush and it always seem that nothing have changed and "I only see/ the empty double bed." at the end of the day.

Sometimes, those who remembers everything will eventually be the one who is the most disappointed because they see people forgetting the promises made, all the good memories that were created or even the fact that they were friends before. "Maybe the heaven is kind to them,/ letting them forget."

I feel that way now and I really wish that I could forget all the disappointments caused by those memories that I have.

But at the end I learnt that I should not "cling to yesterday" because it would "never bring peace" and that I should not be hindered by all those disappointments and "continue to make friends with people". Joy reminded me last night that I have many other friends who appreciate and care for me even if I feel that some do not.

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past." (Isaiah 43: 18)
