I remember when I was young, my family used to enjoy watching the show "ER" (even though it was way past our bedtime, it was either shown at 10 p.m or 11 p.m. Thought me and my brothers couldn't understand all the medical terms and the sarcastic undertones, we still see it week after week because it was exciting to see how the doctors cope with overwhelming accidents and dealing with difficult people at the same time. It was also heart-warming to see the doctors putting their best efforts to treat each and every patient and the relationships and bonds that were created in that operation theatre.
Thus, it was a pleasure to see the reruns of that show in Hallmarks Channel after it has stopped broadcasting on Channel 5. This time, I was able to understand the dialogue a bit more (I still can't understand the medical terms and they still spoke too fast for me) but the effect of the show on me has never changed. Now I'm trying to find shows that are similar to "ER" and I am delighted to see that Star World have the shows "Third Watch" and "Heros" coming up!
Still, none of today's show will ever fully take over the place that shows like "ER", "Seventh Heaven", "Touched By An Angel", "Gilmore Girls" or even "Ally Mcbeal" and "Friends" have in my heart. (crossing my fingers for more re-runs of them on TV)
P.S: Star World is showing Season 1 of "Friends" FYI.
