Sound is one of the most important component in the society. There's no stopping sounds from entering your ears the same way you close your eyes to stop seeing. It has the ability to permeate every pore of your body, making you tingle with it's very own vibration. Add deep and meaningful lyrics to a melody skillfully created with much effort, you will often get a piece that will stir and move deeply within people's heart.
That's the same with worship. Worship should be a platform for you to meet with God, a time to let go of worldly cares and fetters, a chance to let His healing takes place within you, a reminder of how His blood is still flowing, still healing for you. The struggle, joy, praise and adoration etc that is reflected in the lyrics is your own; you can claim it as your own and lift it up to your eternal Saviour from your heart. There are no words enough to exactly describe the power and impact of worship, but I'm sure it's something that you will understand in your own way.
That's why I'm truly addicted to worship.
