What an oxymoron.

While I was listening to my (new!!!) MP3 player, the songs "Jenny" (by Click Five) and "Jesus" (by PlanetShakers) play back-to-back each other. And then I started thinking...

"Jenny" is about a guy who is so upset, disturbed, annoyed, irritated, frustrated, all the bad feelings because this girl Jenny (presumbably someone that he is deeply in love with) is so fickle-minded and keeps switching from the cold-shoulder treatment to the lovey-dovey treatment. He thinks that it is driving him crazy, this temporary relationship.

Is life such a mess because of such temporary things? Or also because our own life is just ultimately a temporary thing, "a breath in the wind", "a wave in the ocean"?

And yet, we have Jesus. He is unchanging, the same as before. There is why there is no past tense used when we described Him, "the Bright and Morning Star".

Life becomes much more assured because I know I have someone who is never changing, someone who will not change His love for me, no matter what I do. And I am more assured because I know He is holding my hand.

Which will you choose? The life in "Jenny" or the one in "Jesus"?
For me, I choose the one in "Jesus".
Will you choose the same as me?
