Sometimes the road is surrounded by nice scenery that takes your breath away, and sometimes there is nothing to distract you from this hard path.
Sometimes the time on the road is enjoyable and you wished that you will never be plucked out from the road and yet there are times when you wish that the road will just end here.
Sometimes there are people walking with you, and sometimes you feel lonely walking by yourself.
Sometimes you walk by bodies of water and you are instantly refreshed by the cool air, and sometimes you find yourself in a desert without a drop of water.
Sometimes you feel light and you could actually fly along with the wind, and sometimes you feel that your feet will never have the strength to lift themselves from the ground again.
Sometimes the road is easy with just little stones for you to kick around, and sometimes it is occupied with huge rocks that requires you to maneuver around them.
Sometimes you can just stand up with no scratches when you fall, and sometimes you are so seriously wounded that you can't get up, can't bear the pain or even the strength to call for help.
And yet it is only like times like these that you learn.
Times you wish there was nice scenery around you that teach you to always look to the One inside you, and not to the external.
Times you wish that you could just stop walking that teach you to persevere and not to give up because there are always better things up ahead.
Times you feel lonely that teaches you that there was only one set of footprints on the ground was because He was carrying you.
Times when there was no water that teaches you to stop and pray for rain.
Times when you feel chained to the ground that teaches you to fall on your knees and to surrender everything that chains you to the One who can free you.
Times when there are huge rocks that teaches you to overcome obstacles along the way.
Times you fall and there is no way of getting up that teaches you that it is only when you are down and resting that healing can come and that it is a process that cannot be rushed.
